Registration
- On-site full attendance (presenter, student, retired, international, and teacher) fee includes access to all sessions of the conference, the Book of Selected Readings, cultural activities, 3-day unlimited Chicago public transportation (CTA card), opening reception, all coffee breaks, two lunch breaks, wine and cheese reception (Thursday night), and closing reception (awards dinner).
- On-line full attendance (presenter, student, retired, and international) fee includes access to online conference presentations, and the Book of Selected Readings .
- 1-day Only Registration includes access to all sessions occurring in that period including coffee and lunch breaks. In addition, for IVLA members, the Book of Selected Readings is included; for non-members, one year IVLA membership is included.
- K-12Teacher 1-day and 2-day registration fee includes access to all sessions occurring in that period including coffee and lunch breaks.

Cancellation Policy
- Please note that in case of cancellation by September 5th 2009 you will be charged 40% of the conference fee. If you should cancel your attendance at IVLA '09, please send an email to ivla09@gmail.com
- After September 5th 2009 there will be no refunds for cancelled registrations.
- There is no refund for IVLA’s membership fee.
NEW! Graduate Student Travel Award
Deadline: Tuesday, May 5
The International Visual Literacy Association will award up to two $300 travel grants to
graduate students who have had papers accepted for presentation at the 2009 IVLA Conference
in Chicago, Illinois. Award recipients will be selected based on the quality of their
proposal and the applicant's proximity to the conference site. Preference will be given to
first-time paper presenters. Graduate students wishing to apply for the grant should submit the following:
• Contact information (including both home and institution addresses)
• Complete paper proposal
• Information about other funds the applicant will likely receive to assist in conference attendance, if any

Grants will be awarded no later than Friday, May 15 in order to allow recipients to make their travel arrangements.
